I hate small spaces- places where there is almost no place to step, places where there is no room to stand, and places where there is nowhere to look out upon the world from. If I had to spend time in a prison cell like Charles Darnays, I think that I would go completely mad. I hate being cooped up having no one to talk to, nothing to do, nothing new to see. This sort of confinement is worse than death in my mind, for you are still alive but have no purpose. I hope that I am never confined like Charles Darnay.
